Car
The Museum of Tomorrow doesn't have its own parking lot, but there are private parking lots nearby. The closest is in the RB1 building (Av. Rio Branco, 1), about 100 meters from the museum entrance.
Ferries
Visitors to Niterói, Governador Island, and Paquetá can take the ferry, which stops at Praça XV. From there, you can walk (about 20 minutes) or take the bus to the Museum of Tomorrow (about 20 lines connect Praça XV to Praça Mauá).
Bicycles
There are bike racks in Praça Mauá with a total of 120 spaces for cyclists.
Bus
Check the Vá de Ônibus website to find out which is the best route to visit the Museum.
Train
From Central do Brasil, take the VLT Yellow Line 3 towards Santos Dumont; transfer at Cinelândia Station to the Blue Line and take the VLT towards Terminal Gentileza or walk for about 25 minutes.
Subway
From Uruguaiana Station, there are two walking options:
- Cross Avenida Presidente Vargas, follow Rua Acre until you reach Praça Mauá / Museu do Amanhã; or
- Follow Avenida Presidente Vargas towards Candelária Church, turn left onto Av. Rio Branco and continue straight ahead until you reach Praça Mauá / Museu do Amanhã.
VLT
To get there by VLT, take line 1 (blue) toward Santos Dumont Airport or Gentileza Terminal and get off at "Parada dos Museus." The station is approximately 200 meters from the Museum of Tomorrow. See the stop map.
