Sai-Fai: Brazilian science fiction transports us to an expanded universe that challenges the boundaries between reality and imagination. The result of a workshop held in 2021 by the Laboratório de Atividades do Amanhã (Laboratory of Tomorrow's Activities - LAA), the exhibition presents the stories conceived in this creative process, now taking them to the unique space of the museum.
Inspired by movements such as Afrofuturism and indigenous futurism, 19 authors from all over Brazil brought to life alternative realities, utopias, dystopias and fantastic adventures. These stories were carefully illustrated by ten talented visual artists and transformed into a digital book, available for viewing in the exhibition space. But the experience doesn't stop there: the exhibition also offers an augmented reality experience with "Herança", a creation by the collective 2050 that brings to life elements present on the cover of the digital book.
In the exhibition, magic comes to life through illustrations created by ten talented visual artists, which, together with the texts, were transformed into a digital book published by the Museum of Tomorrow. In addition, the immersive experience of the exhibition incorporates a sound narrative, video art and the exciting augmented reality experience called "Herança", developed by the collective 2050.
Upon entering the immersive space of "Sai-Fai", visitors are invited to become active readers, where imagination is the sensitive technology and art is a powerful tool that challenges the perception of reality, transporting us to other worlds. This exhibition is a convergence of literature and visual arts, presenting excerpts from the stories written during the workshop, with illustrations by artists of different styles. Sound, image and word merge, inviting us to question the boundaries between the real and the imaginary.
