Embark on an immersive journey to the city of the future! On display from August 5 to October 31, 2021, the Urban Futures exhibition promotes an experience that proposes, in a playful way, reflections on the development of metropolises.

Throughout the projection, which lasts approximately seven minutes, visitors will follow four characters on their journey through several possible scenarios for the future. What will life in big cities be like if current problems related to housing, urban mobility and social injustice only worsen over the coming decades? What measures need to be implemented so that we can have increasingly sustainable, accessible and fair environments for all, as well as more resilient in the face of the challenges arising from the climate crisis? These are some of the questions that guide the narrative of the exhibition. After watching the animation, visitors will have access to examples of innovative measures that are already being adopted in several cities around the world, in different areas (such as urban mobility and access to health services). The exhibition also includes a game that addresses food production, in which strategies are presented to sustainably meet the growing demand for food that accompanies population growth.

The activity is committed to the United Nations (UN) 2030 Agenda, which provides for 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), click here to find out more.
